>I think anyone writing or commenting on "Life in SF" like our friend Chris here should have a tag at the end of their name like Chris Robotham[0] or Chris Robotham[3] where the integer is the number of kids they have.
>In any case Wolf Tivy[3] published the article and lives in SF.
I don't want to be 'that guy', but I think it's important for people to know that, despite publishing the article, I believe that Chris actually moved away from SF for North Carolina and Wolf also is going to or has moved away from SF.
I don't mean to get personal by saying this, but I just think it's important for people to have the full context here because it might change the way people view the power of the argument.
>>1193 Yeah it's an important caveat that the author moved away. I (wolf) will probably be back in SF within a year or two for many of the reasons in the article. I'm away to be with family around the birth of our latest kid (number 4), and to do a bunch of much overdue travel.
Austin is still definitely second-tier as a tech hub (SF being first and everywhere else second) - I wonder if it can become a more specialized hub, like El Segundo has for hard tech.
>>1279 El segundo has been very cool to see happen a bit. I call it cowboy industrial policy. Augustus and his friends are just memeing a new generation of hardware industrial ecosystem into existence. I hope it works.
