Despite all the disorganization and confused populism, it seems there is something of a new world coming into being from "the right". It's young, secular, nationalistic, technocratic, irreverent, and anticorruption. It is what drove the energy of Trump's campaign and others around the world. It occasionally goes by the name "populist" but only because its popular support massively outweighs its funding and support from established institutions.
"Populism", which is to say the uninterpreted whims of the majority against the elites, undersells what's actually going on. For concreteness, here are some of the projects I have in mind which share a dialect of online right wing ideas and goals (as opposed to normie conservative projects). Many of them read each other even if they don't all fully know of each other:
* Major online philsopher-posters like BAP, Moldbug, etc.
* The Mission Party/MBL in Brazil: Young technocratic Brazillian anti-corruption reformists.
* Free State Party in New Hampshire: Well organized libertarians with good leadership.
* Patriot Front and the Active Clubs: organized underground patriotic networks.
* J'Accuse, Amarna Forum Diaspora, and Meritocracy: high IQ zoomer political philsophy.
* Interesting debates like Moldbug vs Kaiser on American mythology.
* Spencer Pratt's anti-communism in LA.
* Passage Press, Imperium Press, Antelope Hill: vaguely FoT-aligned book publishers.
* What's going on with the Ulster militias?
* Zcash mafia: billionaires making Zcash "a thing" before we all get gulaged in 2029.
* Rufo and Shirley style anti-corruption activism
* Palladium and other independent political philosophy magazines.
* Augustus Doricko's "Gundo" DIY industrial policy project and similar in SF.
* "Return to the Land" and other "white self-association" experiments.
* "New Founding", "David Network", and other sorts of classier right wing societies and networks.
* Nick Allen's "Sovereign House" and new "Reign" project in New York.
These projects are a big slice of what's interesting right now because they aren't obviously compromised by existing political dysfunction, and have interesting energy and ideas. Some obviously much more serious and advanced than others. Of course they have their own dysfunctions but my hunch is that new things might come from these sorts of fringes.
The worry is that if all they have is forbidden truth and are unable to cohere beyond that, they will be of interest to philosophers but not really to serious statesmen because they will have serious coordination scaling limits even if anything took off. The truth as such is never enough. You don't have to lie but you do need some kind of leadership and vision beyond the bare truth. You need some *particular* truth that makes a demanding standard of association. But maybe there's something actually there in the necessary solutions to corruption, the Nietzschean philosophy, the nationalistic interests, and the convergence on certain historical reference points that will inspire real coordination. If there is, we may see a new world. If not, these projects will be just a reactionary epiphenomenon of the ongoing decline of the west.
But I'm very curious what others make of this extended space. Did I miss any? Do you have a different diagnosis?
